Emily Mutch, 77, was sexually assaulted and beaten to death in the Links Housing Complex christmas gift sale, Buccleuch Street, Garnethill, Glasgow, last July.
A gold band and unusual gold horseshoe wedding ring made by her late husband were taken by her killer.
Now they have been recreated in artists' impressions to be shown to pawnbrokers and second-hand dealers in the hope they will be recognised xmas gift .
The pictures were drawn up with the help of Mrs Mutch's niece, Elizabeth Weir, 40.
My aunt's hands were very thin,' she said.
But she would never have taken off her wedding ring. Now I can only hope it will help find her killer sweetie Bracelet.'
By TRACEY LAWSON WHEN Teddy Mutch slipped a wedding ring on to his bride Emily's finger, it would have been too absurd to think that one day 39 years later it would be used to help find her killer.
Emily loved her jewellery and wore it all the time until she became ill and her weight dropped, making her fear she would lose it.
But the wedding ring was her particular favourite and she never took it off Links Bracelets. She was not parted from it untill her attacker wrenched it from her finger as she lay dead or dying in her sheltered home where he hit her savagely with a blunt instrument.
Now the gold band and unusual gold horseshoe ring her late husband had made for her have been recreated in artist's impressions which will be shown to pawnbrokers and second hand dealers in they hope they will be recognised Links Bangles .
